Patna: The state government has started the process of recruiting 1995 professionals for district registration and counselling centres (DRCC) of Bihar Vikas Mission (BVM). Every district will have one DRCC, which will function as the single window for interaction between the government and eligible youths interested mainly in the three flagship schemes - self-help allowance, student credit card and skill development.
The BVM has invited online applications from individual professionals with expertise in human resources, finance and information technology to be employed on contract in different DRCCs. June 15 is the last date for submitting the application, said principal secretary, cabinet secretariat department, Brajesh Mehrotra. Scanned copy of relevant documents must be uploaded with the online applications. Those who wish to apply for more than one post should submit separate applications for each position. The appointments would be made before the BVM becomes operational on October 2, Mehrotra, who is the nodal officer of the BVM, said.
According to official sources, the post of manager requires an MBA/PGDM with a minimum five years of experience at management level. Proficiency in IT would be preferred. A manager will get fixed monthly stipend of Rs80,000. Every DRCC would have one manager. Altogether 138 assistant managers (scheme) are also required at the monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
The successful candidates will be appointed on 11 months' contract, which may be extended on yearly basis depending on their performance. In case of extension, there will be a 10% increment in their salary. The candidates cannot claim permanent employment with the government at any stage, an official said.
Reservation criteria, as per Bihar government rules, would be followed in the appointments. Physically handicapped will be given reservation as per the Disability Act 1995. The benefit of reservation will be admissible to only those applicants who have the domicile in Bihar.
The age criteria for all the posts would be maximum 37 years for unreserved (male) and 40 years for general (women). It would be 40 years for backward/most backward caste (male/female) and 42 years for SC/ST (male/female) categories. The cutoff date for calculating the age will be August 1, 2016.
BVM is established by the Bihar government under the Societies Registration Act to continue its primary agenda of sustained development and to drive the effective planning and execution of various key government development programmes under good governance 2015-20.
